Skateboarder's paradise
To make STPLN - Stapelbäddsparken more understandable we usually like to divide the process into two separate stages. The first one is the only one really completed and it resulted in Stapelbäddsparkens famous skateboard park. 2000 square meters of pools, bowls, stairs and ramps that were designed and built by skateboarders together with the city of Malmo and The Streets & Parks Department. In May 2006 the skatepark was officially inaugurated and since then it figures in plenty of global magazines and skateboard forums. Stapelbäddsparken is also host for the International Skateboard Worldcup final - Quiksilver Bowlriders since 2006. This has placed Malmo in the limelight and Stapelbäddsparken has become, not only an attraction for skateboarders around the world, but also sight for curious tourists that come admire the fantastic concrete construction. In fact - this park is next to the Turning Torso Malmös most famous landmark.
